NACTVET Application : Selection Results

The National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) is a corporate body established pursuant to NACTVET Act, Cap. 129, to coordinate and regulate the provision of technical and vocational education and training. The Council regulates an efficient national qualifications system that will ensure that products from technical and vocational institutions are of high quality and respond to changing needs as well as technological innovations in the world. 

Technical and Vocational Education and Training in this context is defined as “Education and training undertaken by students to equip them to play roles requiring higher levels of skills, knowledge and understanding and in which they take responsibility for their areas of specialization”. NACTVET is thus, a multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral body empowered to oversee and coordinate the provision of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Tanzania.

The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) has announced the first round of application results for students applying to Health and Associate Science programs for the 2024/2025 academic year.

NACTVET Application : Selected students batch one 2024/2025

Here’s a summary of the announcement:

  • A total of 24,629 applications were submitted.
  • Out of those applications, 23,503 students applied to specific colleges and programs.
  • Of the applications submitted, 21,661 students were qualified for their chosen programs, while 1,842 were not.
  • A total of 16,646 students were selected to join colleges offering Health and Allied Science programs. This includes 8,821 women (53%) and 7,825 men (47%).

Students who were not selected due to competition can apply to programs with open slots during the second application phase through the Joint Admission System.
